Major Speaker Distortion

Hey, earlier this evening I was using my laptop (Compaq Presario CQ-61) and everything was fine. I left to speak to people on the Xbox and when I returned about 30 mins later, the speakers had an amazing 'wobble' and high pitched 'mosquito' sounds. Hey, earlier this evening I was using my laptop (Compaq Presario CQ-61) and everything was fine. Everything played has an echo and I've done everything I can think of! Drivers up to date and settings all messed with! I'm Frantic!
