Maghera mast replacement

The replacement of the mast at Maghera seems to be well underway, from what I could see when on the M18 this afternoon. The new mast appears taller than the old one. I wonder when the antennae will be transferred. Will they leave the analogue transmit antennae on the old mast and then decomission it at ASO? I suspect the DTT antennae will be at the top of the new mast? Thsi should improve overall DTT coverage. Anyone in the know have any info?

Will it be possible to receive Saorview signal from Maghera new mast in Athlone? About 45 miles atcf. My balcony is facing W/SW.

Any chance they would stick a dab antenna on it while they are up there. I wouln'd think it would break the bank.

    DAB is obsolete.
We shouldn't have rolled out ANY DAB.

Lets concentrate on doing DTT properly.
