Thickening Eyebrows?

After a disastrous trip to the beautition, I now have hideously thin eyebrows :( It's partially my fault as I didn't specify how thick/thin I wanted them but it's pretty bad. Is there any way of making them look thicker while they grow back? I'm lucky that they tend to grow really quickly but I'll be stuck with nasty looking eyebrows for a month at least and I need to make them look thicker without resorting to permenant marker :P

You can make them appear thicker by using a brow brush and a brown eyeshadow.Benefit do a good brow kit also.

See what you think about the HD Brows (http://www.hd-brows.co.uk/),the process that overtime helps grow back your eyebrows and in final effect they look polished and very well groomed. But you have to do it over few months,so its gradual.

Castor oil applied on the eyebrows supposedly speeds up growth, beauticians have the Baby Grow, not sure what it is,but it costs 30e and supposed to speed up the growth as well.

The Benefit brow kit is amazing - started using it around 4 years ago & have gotten all my mates on it too - it costs around €35, but lasts for ages and ages - really does make a huge difference, lovely thicker shape eyebrows, a real god send :)

Do you have a brown eyeshadow? cause that's all you need, just apply with a brow brush and hey presto!!! same job as the brow kit really..;)

Not at all, i do it all the time on clients and it's perfect and easily done.

Yeah, I use an eyeshadow on my eyes to fill them in. It looked a little strange for me at first but that was only because I wasn't used to having defined brows ever! Wouldn't go back now, you can define the shape and make them look longer/thicker. Love it!

I'm never getting them waxed again. I can do a damn better job myself. And €35 may be nothing when you have money, but when you don't it's a good chunk to spend unexpectedly.

I used to use a brown shadow and it does work fine - it can be dodge when people use the wrong colour or draw it in too stencilly - you can do the same with a brow kit

Am now using the Anastasia brow powder - it's a better colour match - and I really like it. Not sure if you can get it anywhere here tho

I use a Rimmel eyebrow pencil. It lasts for months and it's very cheap. They come in a few different colours. I go for a light brown called 'Hazel'. I believe it's very popular as an eyebrow pencil and it looks very natural.

This make up artist changed my eyebrows.

I've copied exactly what she does and my eyebrows look great, people constantly ask me where I get them done etc..

    Give it a go, it's free :)

I also use eyeshadow and an angle brush to fill in my eyebrows (mac 266 and espresso eyeshadow). I got the idea from pixiwoo and pixi2woo on youtube. I used to use a cheapy brush and eyeshadow and that worked fine too. I used a rimmel pencil for a while before that but found it too harsh.. I would imagine if you're trying to thicken them it would look even more harsh with the pencil. If you have any kind of a stiff brush, preferably not too thick, that should work. And any kind of eyeshadow similar to your hair colour with soft short strokes.

    +1

I think that set is brilliant, I have fairly light eyebrows so it's hard to get a colour that really suits them but I find this really great and the price alone sweetens the deal :D

Alternately I have seen bottles of eyebrow serums that claim to make the hair grow faster, whether they work or not, I have no idea but it's something you could look into.

I think if you're trying to thicken your brows, an eyeshadow will work better than a pencil since a pencil can look harsh if its used to draw on eyebrows.

I use a clear brow gel from Essence which might work to give you more texture and brush the hairs to make them look a bit fuller.

I then go over it with an ashy brown eyeshadow (have a look at Catrice for eyebrow kits if you don't feel like ordering online) using a Ruby and Millie angled eyeliner brush which I got 'free' with the E7.50 Boots vouchers!!! Failing that both Essence and Catrice have angled liner brushes for pretty cheap (2-3 euro) that will do the job perfectly.

i love the benefit browzings as well, i know its expensive but i've got mine 4 YEARS now and i use it almost every day!! the wax is nearly gone but theres still loads of powder left. i got it in sephora in new york - benefit is so much cheaper over there, do you know anyone going abroad soon, or would you order online? i used to use a rimmel eyebrow pencil but in humid weather like this it used to rub off and look awful. pencils can look a bit harsh esp if your brows are already thin
