Wifi Signal Boost ?

    Hi Folks,

Quick one you guys may be able to help with.

I am picking up Wifi on my laptop from my landlord who has it set up for our housing estate. However at the back of my house most of the rooms pick up little or no signal.

Just wondering if there is a product that can boost a signal without having to attach it to the modem itself as this isn't an option for me unfortunately :( e.g. laptop adaptor or aerial of some sort ?

Many thanks for your help !

The simplest solution is a USB wifi adaptor with standard SMA connector, for example: link

Then you can either use the antenna provided (which on its own should be an improvement over your laptop's wifi), or unscrew it and attach something even bigger/higher gain.
