So anyone know what the story is with exam rechecks?

Just got my results and would like to get one rechecked as I felt like I did way way better than said result suggests.

In a recheck all that happens is that all the marks are added up again to ensure that there was no error

better off asking to view your script and do the maths yourself - it will save you the recheck fee !

Cool, Do I just need to contact the relevant lecturer in that case?

I just viewed my exam script and I'm wondering if there's a way to get a second opinion on the result (I disagree with the examiner on what was relevant in a particular question, it's not all that important to my grade really but it's a little annoying). I've looked on-line and I see that a recheck or an appeal of an examination result "does not involve reassessment of the examination paper(s) or other submitted material".

Is it actually possible to get a reassessment of the paper?

I would note that there are things that were marked incorrect that I have documentary evidence for being correct (although the marking could be just down to how I phrased the point). Does that mean I could fall into ground (b) of the appeals procedure which is "if the student, on stated grounds, considers that the mark assigned in an examination is erroneous"? How does this ground make sense if the process is not designed to involve a reassessment of submitted materials?
