THE Home of Irish basketball, Neptune Stadium is set to become the home of Irish music over the coming months.

Tommy Fleming, Damien Dempsey, John Spillane and The High Kings are just some of the headline performers set to rock the Cork City venue over the coming months, starting on Friday July 8 and continuing until Sunday July 10.

Cork Events are behind this series of music events, which will set 6,000 fans enjoy three days of non-stop music with Damien Dempsey, Mick Flannery and Mundy, who will be supported by Breaking Light rock the Neptune Stadium on the Friday night at 6pm.

On Saturday country superstar Tommy Fleming takes to the stage with his band with the Irish Concert Orchestra also part of a fantastic show.

Sunday will see Cork favourite John Spillane and The High Kings share the same stage and the organisers of the event, Cork Events have similar events planned for later in the year.

“We are delighted to bring this superb line-up of top Irish artists to the Neptune Stadium,” organiser Danny Drew said.

“We are very confident that we can sell-out these shows such is the quality of the performers coming to Cork. They are all household names and each and every one of them put on a great live show and they are not to be missed.

“Friday night sees three of the biggest names in Irish music take to the stage. Damien Dempsey, Mick Flannery and Mundy have hugh followings and tickets for the opening night are selling very fast.

“We expect the Saturday night show featuring the fantastic Tommy Fleming and the Irish Concert Orchestra to sell out within the next few days, so my advice to music fans is to purchase their tickets now or risk losing out.

“Then on Sunday we round off this first in a series of planned music events for Cork and the Neptune Stadium with Cork’s finest John Spillane and The High Kings.

“All three shows are going to be spectacular events. Fans will be seated up close to the stage and they are going to get a chance to see the very best that Irish music has to offer up close and personal.”

Tickets for the event are on sale from Ticket Master or Cork Events. Tickets start at €25 excluding booking fee. Those interested in group bookings can contact 0877770799 or more information available from www.corkevents.ie
