'00 Clio cutting out/ not starting without jump leads

    Hi folks,

    My sisters '00 Renault Clio had the battery replaced last week (was struggling to turn over), post ne battery it started and ran fine for a few days, now it won't start without jumpleads, and as soon as the leads are removed the car cuts out.

    I suspect the alternator, is dead, based on the fact it was getting harder to start, prior to the battery replacement.

    Any idea what the cost and labour of an alternator on a Clio is, if it turns out that that is infact the problem.
