Trying to to build a prototye module around PLC micro processor and a number of sensors, Underfrequency Load shedding device. Any suggestions on what type of PLC to use, needs to cater for up to ten sensors (voltage, current, frequency, temperature), needs data storage and IP interface for remote access ( 20Kw load).

Also any particalar college or University that specialise in this area that may partner to build and verify same.

I have finished MSc thesis on concept which included focus groups and serveral customers have expressed an interest in live triasl when prototype is available.

There's plenty of good pics that are up to the job and have plenty of low cost development kits. Alternativily you could use an existing piece of kit that is already mark
et ready and just write the software. There are plenty of plc's out there. Allen Bradley units are pretty robust.

Are you going on your own or are you wokrking for an existing buisness.
