My little sister was playing a game on my PS3 last night and in the middle of it, it froze. Now when you put a game in it, it won't come up. It won't recognise that its even in... What's the problem and any idea how it could be resolved??

    Most likely blu-ray is shot.
Did you try a dvd ?
    They can be replaced/repaired.

Quick search got me these, http://www.cylex-uk.co.uk/company/iservices---iphone-repairs-belfast---www-iservicesni-co-uk-13118241.html.

It says they do console repairs too.

What county are you in? I'm in the Cavan/Monaghan area so I know a one or two lads in these parts of the province, knew a chap who works in Jonesborough who is based in Dundalk.

Try this before you do anything else.

    1. Turn off your PS3, the red light will be visible.

    2. Hold down the power button on the PS3 until it turns green and keep holding until it turns red again.

    3. Do the same again as step 2, but this time hold the power button down longer until you hear the PS3 beep twice.

    4. Let go of the power button and on the TV you should see six options listed.

    5. Select the third one and only the third, selecting any other option could lead to your hard drive being formatted.

Had a similar problem a few weeks ago where my PS3 wouldn't play DVDs and sometimes games, did the above and it was fixed.
