RTÉ DTT Digital TV head-end system tender

    RTÉ is seeking expressions of interest from companies to provide a DTT digital TV head end system capable of statistical multiplexling a minimum of 6 SD + 1 HD Digital Channels.

    RTENL a wholly owned subsidiary of RTE, Irish National Broadcaster, wishes to procure a DTT digital TV head end system capable of statistical multiplexling a minimum of 6 SD + 1 HD Digital Channels. Expressions of interest are requested from companies who feel they have competencies in this area.

    RTÉ previously tendered for similar back in Feb 2009 but cancelled the process in Oct the same year

    Do RTÉ not already have such a system in place for Multiplex 1? I'm suprised at this new tender if that is so.
