You won't go through them on the inbound and you might not have to go through them on the outbound. I was in MCO last month flying with Aer Lingus and going through security was the normal procedure, no pat-down or full body scanner. However keep in mind that this can change at any time, so its down to luck.

They have the full body scanners now. Flew out of MCO 3 weeks ago and they were being used for all passengers!

I went through one flying from Heathrow to Vegas in Feb - it was not complulsary though, Choice was, full body scanner or pat down.

    What this man said.

If you fly into MCO from outside the country, you go through whatever's standard at your point of departure. Once you're in the system, however, even if it's a two-hour layover en route, any boardings within the US (including your return home) have the possibility of the scanners.

As Manic says, all inbound measures set by country of origin. However these have to comply with basic ICAO regs with additional measures applied based on local threat levels etc.
The new CBP facilities in EIDW give you full clearence into all U.S airports.Only facility of its kind in Europe.A nice area full of nifty security gizmos and pictures of Obama etc etc.:)
