you can buy firearm parts from the us up to the price of $100, but as far as i know you will need an import licence from the doj, if you order and don't have one you could get in a lot of trouble. and i would'nt risk it as when you order parts from America they will usually come in packaging with "FIREARMS PARTS" written in large clear writing. i'm sure most dealers would be able to get whatever you need if you don't want to jump trough the hoops yourself.

Jimmy I deal with brownells alot, they will ship most things and I believe that the Gas tube wouldnt be a problem.

If your not in a hurry, ill add it to an order to save you on postage.

Thats horse manure. Ill check what brownells wrote on the last box I got.....

Either way, Ive been getting parts for years and only yesterday put in an order for $200 for shotgun parts.

Once you pay duty on it there isnt much bother....

    Part 1: General Information, International

There are a number of items which Brownells sells which need US State Department approval and an export license before they can be shipped out of the country. The regulations are complex and constantly changing but our staff is here to help you understand what is needed and will gladly work with you to correctly accomplish the task.

Generally speaking, items which usually need a license are:

    Frames
    Receivers
    Barrels
    Barrel Liners
Various other gun parts such as triggers, sears, ejectors, magazine tubes, scopes, and other items if the ordered amount is over $100.00 US.

some of the things i wrote may have been incorrect, i only said what i was told. which was from what i would have thought is a reliable source. it's also better to be safe than sorry.

Gas tubes arent covered under the above post however gun parts over $100 can still be ordered depending on the part.

I recieved another order from brownells today and its marked as "Merchandise". Checking the last 2 boxes they are makred simular, Not "firearms parts"

I also recieved a package during the week from A.R.M.S and that too is marked as "Merchandise"..... Not "firearms parts"

Juice you are quoting is US laws that they have to adhere to export what they consider as firearm components when in fact what you really need to concern yourself about is Irish import laws for the same components?
