Should there be laws against marrying people from your hometown?

    I was just looking at profiles of people i went to school with on facebook and there was one guy who got engaged to a girl from the same town. I dont have an issue with it but both of them are as ugly as fcuk and the chances of their offspring being as ugly as them (if not uglier) is incredibly high. The town I come from is quite small, around 9,000 or so. Now us Irish have a reputation for being average looking to put it mildly, with exceptions of those who are blessed with viking descent. Taking this into account, is there a necessity to enforce laws banning people from marrying each other if they live within a hundred mile radius of each other?

    dont you think its weird that some counties have high concentrations of the same surname? i shudder at the thoughts

    Slight flaw:

    The ugly person will go and procreate with another equally ugly person from another town and may move back to your town with ugly child, therefore increasing the ugly population by 2.

    Edit: Mind you, that is not the only flaw in your proposal.
