G36c hopup questions

    Hi all,

    First time opening up an AEG so please consider this in your replies! My CA G36c hopup rubber protrudes into the barrel even when the dial is set to zero resulting in an upward trajectory flight for 0.2s. Looking at the design (and presuming I have it assembled correctly) this would seem to be inevitable given how the lever arm on top of the nub is depressed by the hop up wheel. I also find that the barrel can be rotated a bit even when "secure" in the gun which I presume should not happen - what should prevent this?

    strangely enough my son has been useing his g36c for awhile and the hop up was working perfect.b4 our last skirmish i was running checks and noticed the bbs were now rising with the hop fully off:confused:

    same as you when i looked through the unit the rubber was now protruding into the barrell.i ended up having to replace the nub with a smaller,custom concave nub,like the shredder one?, and now it works perfect again,if not better because of the concave spacer.

    the only thing we changed b4 this started happening was bbs,from king arms green to king arms black,but i didnt have any other bbs left to try in the gun to see if there was any differance.

    but still to say the old nub was protruding where as b4 it wasnt and i have no idea what caused it.the rubber still works good so i dont want to take it out to have a look untill i really have to
