Zeroing StrikeArms 4x40 scope problem

    Hey guys,

I've been having a hard time zeroing in the above scope on both my L96 and G3. In each case the bb impact remains above the centre spot even when adjusted up to maximum. Is this normal? The range of adjustment seems pretty limited. No problem with my ACOG which sights in well.

I presume I have to reduce hop but flight looks pretty stright to the naked eye.

    Thanks for any responses.

What always confuses the heck out of me with scopes is that turning the dial towards left (for windage) actualy moves the crosshairs right.
I think it's the same for up and down, but im not sure it's been a while. :)

Maybe that could be something to do with it? What range are you trying to zero to?

    Hi Swiftblade,

Agreed it is opposite to what you would expect but I am moving it in the right direction. I think the adjustment must mimic the correction of the rear sight on an iron sight pair i.e. adjust it up to move point down. whatever about the direction of change have you had difficulty gelting the bb in the scope centre? My target is at about 80 ft.

    Go Back to basics...

Remove the scope all togehter and adjust the hop up until you have a straight trajectory.

Then put scope on and adjust.

It sounds like you have a bit too much hop on.

If that dosent help, place a bit of card (very thin) under the front mount to rise the scope up a bit

    :)

Edit: Make sure you are zoomed out when zeroing, if the scope has zoom function
