    Any one ever go/ consider going on holidays solo?? Have about 15 holidays to take before November but no one to do anything with, socially acceptable to go on holiday alone or wierd!!!

    Just back from one. Loads of people do it. Even a good few beours doing it but not as much as fellas becaus presumably they are afraid of getting raped and what have you.

    Tis grand if you stay in hostels or maybe some resort type place where you'll meet plenty of people. going to a place on your own and staying in a hotel can be mind numbingly boring

    I used to stay in my parents house in France on my own sometimes but it was more of a get away and relax thing than a proper holiday. I didn't go out at night on my own or anything. There are holidays advertised for single people who all go together. They are not dating holidays or anything, just package holidays for people travelling alone. Usually advertised in The Times.
