If i load Skype mobile onto my android phone and then connect to my home wifi can i make free calls to mobiles and landlines

I spent quite a time trying to answer this myself so if anyone can direct me to 'Androids for Dummies' I would be most appreciaive

Thanks PogMoThoin I have been getting confused with this stuff e.g

Fring's software and service are both completely free. Consider the cost benefits of having a softphone like Skype on your computer. You would be able to make free calls to other people on the PC, but would have to pay small amounts for calls to mobile and landline phones. Fring gives free calls not only to people using PCs, but also to those using mobile phones.

Since you can make calls from your mobile phone to other mobile phones, you save a real lot on mobile communication. However, you need to convince your buddies to install Fring on their mobile devices as well.

Skype is free to other Skype users

Skype or voipcheap enable you to make landline calls at reduced rates, good if you make a lot of calls abroad.

Be careful ringing 1890 numbers, these are chargeable and will not be included in your monthly mins from your telecom provider, saynoto1890.com/
    lists alternative regular landline numbers
