i was looking on www.biltong.ie alright but it seems extremely expensive.
they also don't seem to have the type i tried and liked.

i'd like to find somewhere i can drop on and try what they have.

There is a butchers in terenure called Downeys , they do all types of exotic meats , i would say they would know where you could get it.
Have you asked in Harvey Nicholls?

it's not Southside but there's a butchers on Parnell St that makes its own Billtong - Terry Whelan's, near Chapters (or at least they did when I was last in there a year ago, one of their cases was full of it)

Flemmings Butchers in the old Dundrum Shopping Centre sell it.

The one on Parnell street wasn't really to my taste - very salty. ASDA in the north do a wild west beek jerky that's ok.
