I have a little courier van for tipping around to work in , today coming home the engine lost power and the warning light for the temp came on , I was only a mile away from home so I nursed it home , got home and noticed some water under the car onthe drive , it's a 1.8 turbo diesel , 01 with 110k on it , never had any trouble in the 5 yrs I've had it ..
Any ideas what's up with it ..
    Cheers .

Fill it with water and try see where the water is coming out.

I had to fix a friend's focus recently that was leaking water. Same engine as yours. The water was coming out the back of the engine through a tiny rusted-out core plug. The part cost 50c but was an utter swine to access and repair.
