    cant get my microphone to work on the rear jack of a 5150 dell desktop.im ok for the front,im using a webcam with a built in microphone ,so i usb the webcam into the rear usb and there is also a lead from the webcam to a microphone jack.the webcam leads are to short to leave in at the front of the tower.is it possible to fix the rear of the unit.:confused:

    The 5150's had issues with their audio drivers.Just visit the dell site, put in your dell number and download the newest drivers.

    let us know how you got on. Also forgot to ask which operating system you using? I assume it is Xp?
