What is the best currency to put your money in?

What should you look for when deciding what currency to put your money in? The below could affect your investment.
Inflation:I realise that inflation can undermine the value of your investment so the Indian rupee (inflation is 8%) is not a good idea.
Devaluation: Sterling and dollar is devaluing so undermining these values
Euro: may collapse or devalue if debt forgiveness is given

So, what currency should you put your money in?

Possibly the Chinese Yuan? Aslong as they don't peg it against the dollar again...

I personally wouldn't put any money in currency markets but if I had to pick one I'd say swiss franc. Its gotten very strong the last couple of months, I could see it getting stronger than the euro. imo

They produce food and aren't reliant on subsidies. People have to eat.

TBH can't argue with gizmo555's advice on 10%. But when everyone is rushing to gold, it makes me wonder...

Euro won't just collapse. The only remotely realistic possibility is it will breakup to some extent, and even then the Germans would be very silly to let this happen.

In the event of a breakup whatever ended up being the new currency of Germany would soar in value, and devastate their exports. Obviously there would come a time where even this would be the better option for them, but I'm not convinced that would happen.

I can't really see the euro falling too low. As bad as Greece Portugal and/or Ireland may be, it's still Germany's currency, and their economy is much larger. Spain is the only substantial risk.

And yes, I would say yuan is good either way since it is undervalued as it is.
