Package Holiday question

Is it okay to book a package holiday and then only use the flights?Have a place abroad and for some reason this year some package deals are working out cheaper than flight only.
Am I likely to encounter any problems with the tour company once I notify the rep at the other end that I dont require the coach transfer or the booked apartment?
    Thanks.

I cant see this being a problem, you would need to meet the rep at your destination and advise them that you will not be checking in to your accomodation.
Also you may need to contact the rep or go to the accomodation you booked during your holiday, to check the tour operators notice board, incase there are any time changes on your return flight home. When you make the booking either on line or through the travel agent, i would put a remark or special request advising the tour operator that you will not be staying in the hotel.

This is just my thoughts on the matter, I would recccomend you discuss this with the travel agent or tour operator before you book your trip

most of the agencies will allow a flight only option, so you should check this out first, should be cheaper than the current price.
