Right so, ive got one of those that looks sort of like this:

Is it possible to change the car radio in my Fusion, when the dash looks like this: 2003-Ford%20Fusion%202-D.JPG

I opened up the tops and sides of the dash, but its not possible to take it all apart as the dials for the heater/AC etc. are screwed to the dash. Anyone know if its possible to change the radio in this then? Obviously id need a large bracket to fill up the space, but surely there is some way to change the car radio?

Ho-ly crap. I've just started a thread looking for the stereo you're looking to get rid of for an elderly neighbour.

Short answer is yes, it is possible to swap it over. You need to buy a fascia adaptor for your Fusion from a local motor factors and a wiring loom to adapt your ford to ISO. If you get those, I can give you instructions on how to take yours out. Where are you based?

Im based in kilkenny, but do be in waterford every few weeks usually. I was told by a motor garage that its not possible, but then other people have told me that it is. Ill have a look in halfords for those parts you listed. Cheers.

Hi, you've probably gotten rid of that cd player in that unit at this stage, but if you haven't, i'd be happy to take it off of your hands. I have the same car as you, but only have a cassette player in it! I'd be happy to keep the ford cd player, rather than getting a new one altogether.

you might let me know anyway - i'm working in Kilkenny.
