I damaged the bonnet and wing of my car and have managed to get the parts and am able to get them fitted for free but it's impossible to get the right colour (orange!) so I'll need to get it painted.
The cheapest quote I have found so far is 250e! Anyone know where is a cheap but good place in Galway or near enough to get it done. I don't need it prefect but I really do not want an orange car with a black or blue bonnet!!
I really don't think I'd be able to paint it myself even if I got the right paint!

Then you probably posted in the wrong forum :) This one's about having a go yourself. Ask a Mod to kindly move it to the main motors forum where someone from Galway with experience might be able to help you.

Just be aware that the Bonnet is the largest panel you can paint on a car, and uses the largest quantity of paint & lacquer too. You will pay more for painting a bonnet than you will for any other body part. 250 seems more than reasonable.

Agree with that, €250 for a bonnet and wing is as good as you'll find.

Oh yeah sorry, I just read the maintenance and repair bit!

Yeah I think it will be alright! I think I might have found an Orange one so fingers crossed, can get the whole job done myself!
Next time I'm buying a less awkward colour car!
