My sister has a quad lnb feeding a sky + box in the living room, a standard box in the bedroom with multiroom card and a standard box without card in the kitchen, which for a long time hasn't worked. Thinking it was a box problem, I donated my old plus box after upgrading and when I hooked it up for her it worked..... for two minutes. The problem is the same on both boxes "no satellite signal being received" there are no cabling problems from what I can see, and her other boxes work fine.

What can the problem be?

switch the non working cable position on the lnb to one you know to be working. If the same cable still isn't working then the cable is probably at fault if the problem is now on the other cable then the lnb is probably the issue
