    I wanna start Kite surfing in galway but dunno how? Can anyone advise?

    Ask on kitesurfing.ie there is on dedicated kite surfing forum here but they are a good bunch.

    Hi,

    If you want to get in touch with Galway kiters then you will find them on here.

    They are a friendly bunch, normally to be seen out at Silverstrand weather and condition permitting.

    For lessons, you will have to go further afield.
    'Pure Magic' in Achill or 'LSD' in Sligo. Those are the closest schools.

    Lessons are highly recommended. Those who go about it themselves end up being avoided both on and off the water.

    definitely get lessons - it can be very dangerous otherwise. unfortunately there has been 1 fatality a couple of years ago and another very serious accident recently where a guy is never going to be right again unfortunately. you will progress much faster with lessons. from what I understand you have to be careful which beach to go out on in Galway as the options are limited. Go to Sligo or Achill and make a weekend out of it for the lessons...
