Applying for third learner's permit

    Hi all

I need to apply for my third learner’s permit. To do this you need show proof that you have either sat a driving test or have applied to do a driving test. I applied for my driving test about a month ago but don’t have a date yet.

Do I need to wait until I actually get my driving test date or would some acknowledgement of my application suffice when applying for the learner’s permit?

    Hi

Your acknowledgement letter will be fine. They'll issue you a new permit for 1 year as opposed to 2 in order to allow you to sit your test.

Best of luck for your test. If ya get a few lessons to fine tune your driving, bet you'll fly through it.

    Best of luck!

Thanks Matt. You're right, the letter of acknowledgement will do.

I just never received a letter as I had chosen the email option but I entered my email address incorrectly, so never got an email either!

No worries, glad I could help. Hope ya pass your test. It's a pain in the arse, but once ya have it, ya have it for life!

    Best of luck!
