    You could try BrayVet, http://www.brayvet.com/.

I find them excellent at their job and very well priced.

The animal hospital in Kilcoole are very good. Have found they really work with you everything is explained and they are very reasonable! Excellent follow up care. They have been great to me my own two doggies and the odd foster dog emergency!!

Blacklion vet hospital in greystones are amazing! We have had two cat emergencies and they have been fantastic! Also the first few months I had my cats I rang up almost every week with Qs and they helped so much. Our cat recently died and their support really helped us through it. Can't recommend them enough!!

Just my tuppence worth as I've used a good few of the vets here with my own 13 & foster cats & dogs..........

Harbour Vets in Greystones (also own the Florence Road in Bray practice) are absolutely fantastic. If you've got a cat, Enda is THE cat man. Have saved the lives of a few of mine & were brilliant when it was time to let 3 go in the past few years. Couldn't recommend them highly enough.

Have heard great things about Klcoole vets although when I rang them on a saturday once with an emergency as my own vets were closed, they wouldn't see me as I wasn't a client & recommended I go to UCD.

Brayvet, great. Pete is brilliant & really cares for animal welfare too. He used one of mine (a feral) on TV3 recently & I was amazed how Lucas took to him.

Blacklion in Greystones, wouldn't touch them with a bargepole. Used to use them, long story I won't go into here but there's a reason I transfered to The Harbour. All I'm going to say is Bonnie, my shepard/collie x curled up here beside me as I type wouldn't be alive today if it was for them.

If you want to go a bit further, Blackrock Vets are awesome. Eamonn isn't called the Super Vet for nothing!

All 3 vet practices In Dun Laoghaire are good too. Michael Woods especially, an amazing eye man.
Argyle & Bainbridge in Stillorgan & Dundrum can recommend too. One of my cats was transfered there from my own vets as they are skin specialists and they sorted a complex problem out.

    Thank you for your replies.

The reason I started this thread was because I had taken my dog to Blacklion in Greystones and afterwards they gave me an outrageous quotation for medicine etc.

Since, I've told them that I would be looking elsewhere for treatment. Their response which still out stands me was that they would match any other vets quote. This illustrates to me that they were trying to rip me off in the first place.

I will not be using this vet again.
