What's the story with the 151? (Bus)

Twice in the last 10 days I've had to get this bus down to the docklands. Its the only bus I've been on that stops for a driver change. Sat here on Eden Quay for the last 15minutes waiting for the other driver. Last week the driver got fed up with waiting that he ended up to completing the route himself.
Does this happen on any other route?

Some routes change drivers on Parnell Square (there's a DB staff canteen around the back of Clery's) and some change drivers at Broadstone.

Not sure if this has changed since ND started coming on stream.

    This is an absolute farce.

It's a scourge on the 46a, stops at Donnybrook for driver changes. Regularly takes up to 20 mins between waiting and drivers chatting. I've gotten off several times, walked to the bus stop and gotten another bus rather than waste my life waiting for this farcical situation to be resolved

I wonder how a lawsuit for loss of earnings would go down. A bit much?

Maybe people should get their mobile phones out and record the driver changeovers and send the YouTube links to Dublin bus:)

While it is hugely annoying when it happens, I think you might be exaggerating things a little there. Any time it's happened to me the longest I've had to wait was 5 minutes, not acceptable but nowhere near 20 minutes. What annoys me further is why can't they change at the bus-stop instead of at the "drivers bench" in front of the church!?

Also happens on the 128 though that's at a bus stop and I've never had to wait more than 90 seconds I'd say for the changeover.

And tell me has this happened this year (since February) when the new rosters came in - they should have eliminated that on the 46a to a major extent?

For **** sake. Stopped at Hawkins street now on the way back waiting for a new driver. How do they get away with this.

It's not unusual to see Blanchardstown and Lucan road buses stopped at College Green for 10/15 min waiting for a driver to change. It's very frustrating for passengers.
