    19:45 Derry City ? - ? Sligo Rovers

    19:45 Drogheda United ? - ? UC Dublin

    19:45 Galway ? - ? St. Patricks

    20:00 Shamrock Rovers ? - ? Dundalk

Jaysis its bleedin never ending, the last of 3 away games in a row.

Clean sheet would be nice for a change, take any sort of a win but no chance of us not conceding we are brutal at the back.

It could easily have been 4 or 5-0 at half time. We were slightly better in the second half.

Sticking Feeney on Bradley worked well until he got sent off. Bradley was quite good tonight.

Feeney is absolutely useless. Unable to run or to control the ball.

Very undeserved point, but Dundalk insisted on sitting back and letting an aerial barrage come in, so it's no surprise they paid for it. They were in control at 0-2, possibly could've got another.

What I thought was strange last night was plenty of Rovers fans celebrating like we'd wont the bloody game last night. "Thats why we're champions!..." Really? Did you not see the previous 92 mins when we were anything but and looked a shocker of a team.

Dundalk had a game plan and it was to sit back and hit on the odd counter. They did open us up and had more and better chances so a 2-0 lead wasn't undeserved by any count.

Pulled the piss with the draw.

Nice to see Dennehy and McCabe coming into a bit of form but an awful lot of poor performances last night. Finn and O'Donnell have looked like a slightly flimsy midfield for dominating the better teams so far.

You can't blame people for being happy to equalize especially as it keeps us top of the league but the performance was worrying. No ****ing about now: next four matches are Sligo, Derry, Pats and Flora. Very little margin for error.

Pretty embarrassing seeing that Dundalk fans got abuse from Rovers fans for "celebrating" holding on to a draw in Oriel.

Felt like a loss last night but would have been delighted with a draw before the game. Griffin was brilliant destroyed Murray all night until he was taken off and Hawkins was a colossus at the back. We've been excellent in our last two games and have only gotten one point. Byrne and Maher are almost back to full fitness and when we get both back we will start picking up a few more points and moving up the table.

And rightly so. Holding onto a draw at home. That is a shame on a club of Dundalk's standing.

I'd have to disagree entirely. That's exactly why Rovers are champions and Dundalk are not. Dundalk were coasting 0-2 up and dropped deep and deeper letting Rovers pile on. There was no secret formula to it and Dundalk couldn't handle it.

Conversely, Rovers were dead and buried at 0-2 and scraped, fluked a 2-2 draw from a losing position. That shows the difference between the two sides more than Rovers winning 5-0. And why Dundalk aren't around the top.

I also thought Dundalk didn't sit back, they attacked with Kearns and Quigley after the first 20 minutes and could've been more than 0-2 up.

Would it not be the fact that Rovers have the biggest budget in the league and have players on the bench that would walk straight in to the first eleven as the reason they are champions. Just putting that out there

2-0 lead and in control with 5 minutes to go? No Twigg either. Dundalk should be seeing that out, regardless of Rovers' squad.

Good win for Drogheda last night. Decent display although how Freeman manages to still get his game is beyond me.

Wonder will we see an * next to Drogs, Mulvenna couldn't sign for us because of the whole 3 club rule afaik so he was meant to sign at the start of July, now he's playing and starting for Drogs!

I agree totally. It isn't acceptable and certainly feels like we lost three points. You only have to visit orielweb to sense the anger that some Dundalk fans are feeling about it. It's not the first time we've messed up this season when holding a lead.
It's hard to put a finger on it as it wasn't due to lack of effort as the players but in a great effort. A combination of lack of belief and tiredness leaning towards the former is the only explanation.

Thought it was a strange one all right. We couldn't sign a player last season as he played one game as an amateur to keep himself fit. I really hope for his sake and Drogs that they didn't screw this up.

While I do agree with you on the basis that Dundalk should have seen it out. 2-0 and comfortable they could easily have been 3 or 4 up with some of the chances they got. Yes we got back into it and got a draw and as such maybe its a point we will look back on and say that game was vital etc... We did show metal to get back a 2 goal deficit.

That said we played absolutely shocking for 90 mins. Thats not why we are champions. We were lucky last night not to have gotten a kicking and somehow we got a draw from it. For champions playing a team as off colour as Dundalk with the squad we have we should have battered them last night.

I was the same when I heard he had signed. Confusing situation. He has played a few games now at this stage so surely if there was anything illegal in it the FAI would be involved by now?? I'm hoping there is not anymore to it though because himself and Corcoran compliment each other well IMO.

What a weirdly rhetorical statement. :)

Dundalk sat back for the whole game. Played counter acting football and while that is well and good they really didnt have many big chances. Kelly had the usual shocker. I couldn't believe some of the decisions, when theres a bunch of players together he seems to just call a free so he can do his usual dramatics and tell people to go away.

On the night Dundalk were the better team, but didnt do much up front with Quigley dropping back deep to kick his way around. Finn lost the ball every time he had it and SOD wasnt much better. I really do prefare the 3 man midfield with CMC or Rice letting the other two be a bit more expressive.

For people moaning about the "Thats why we're champions"...your reasons why the song is silly is the exact reason why its true. Real champions have their off days in the blistering rain and still come away with a point. 17 goals in the last 5 games isnt a bad feat either. Next month is crucial. If we come out with 80% of the points on offer we'll have the league wrapped up imo.

Totally off topic but the pitch was looking well. Despite the rain the ball didnt seem to get stuck anywhere. Pity Dan Murray doesn't operate in the rain tho :/

Absolutely not a free-kick for the Dundalk goal either.

Not in a million years, that lino was shocking (surprise, surprise!) but having said that, terrible marking from us, could see the goal coming a mile away. Last minute equalisers are always nice despite the performance. Looking forward to Friday.
