There are some very useful threads in the "Things to do in..." forum but if you can be more specific, there are plenty of us who've been there and can give advice based on your interests.

I have posted 4 threads - Lanzarote Trip Reports Parts 1 to 4, which are on page 2 of the Travel Reviews and Reports section of this forum. Enjoy!

Land's Rotty. Visit if you enjoy antisocial behavior, drugs, continuous drunkenness and sex with lots of strangers.

I suppose the idea behind the place is that you can go there to do the fool for a few weeks without anyone back home knowing. but thats no longer the case after it's got popular

You've obviously been to a completely different Lanzarote to the one I have.

I was in Costa Teguise in November and April and saw none of that behaviour at all. I would say the same for Playa Blanca as well.

Puerto Del Carmen gets busy and has a fair bit of nightlife, but it is no Magaluf.

I thought you were talking about Temple Bar on a Saturday night! ;)

I have been to Lanzarote 3 times but only as a quiet Winter sun break so i can't advise what it is "like" in August.
We stay in the old town of Puerto del Carmen which is less tacky then the strip/new town!
What do you want from your holiday?

We wont really be interested in the whole 'getting wasted and partying every night' side of a holiday. We want to be able relax by the pool, glass bottom boats, short walk to the beach, and basically if we feel like chilling we can but if we feel like going off for the day and seeing things, then there has to be things for us to do.
