Not at present. It only exists as a masters.

The mechanical engineering stream has a few biomedical/biomechanical modules in 3rd and 4th year. Currently no specific undergrad course for it. I did the mech stream with the bio modules and they were good (I'm currently finishing up a PhD in the biomedical field in trinity now), you could then do the master's course to gain specialise more/do a research postgrad.

If you are set on doing biomedical engineering course and don't mind not being in Dublin, Galway and Limerick are good bets from what I've heard from people who did the courses (I've heard more good things about the course in Galway but both are apparently good).

Afaik there is talk about having an option to specialise into bioeng in TCD in the future, unfortunately I don't know how soon that will occur/how definite it is.

YOu can only do Bioeng as a postgrad at present, there are two modules in fourth year that you can take to give you a bit of an intro to it, I don't know what they're like as I can't stand bio so steered very much away from it.

They have just completed the new centre for biosciences there on pearse street so I would expect that a Bio eng stream will be made available very soon, esecially given the wealth of expertise and reputation of the research staff in TCD regardng Bio
