Anyone else having problems with 3e on UPC? It's been happening for a few days now, the sound and picture keeps cutting off. Trying to watch Conan O Brien at the moment but can't because the poxy technical problems. Is it just me or is this happening for anyone else?

Yeah, it's bloody annoying. It seems over the past year at some point almost every channel has been affected in a similar way, audio breaking up, picture freezing etc. The cynic in me (coupled with the 3 calls a day from UPC's Cork number) makes me think its no accident, trying to shift people onto the digital packages...

I have seen the picture and sound drop out for a second on 3e via Saorview also.

Haven't had any picture quality issues but UPC did confirm a problem with 3e having no sound for customers in my area (Dublin 12) at the weekend.

Didn't receive any updates since so no idea what the root cause was (my gut says it was a device that was encoding the signal at the headend for the area given that it was specific to my box).

p.s. note to UPC: If sound works for all channels except 1-2 then it's highly unlikely that it's the scart lead. :/

Sounds like a problem with your local cable head-end.

Give your cable operator a call.
