    hi,have a problem with an 04 landcruiser,starts and idles perfectly and also drives ok,but if you acclerate or go uphill or tow a trailer it loses power,no smoke or misfire,drained fuel filter no water,fuel filter was changed about seven weeks previous to this,any ideas,

    I had a similar problem a few weeks after my last service.
    Turned out to be the spurious fuel filter , swapped it for a toyota/denso filter and problem went away and 3k later hasn't returned.
