    Hi there,
I'm currently deciding which way I want to go with my psychology degree and my head is fairly melted at the moment with all the various options, requirements, qualifications etc so any advice would be greatly appreciated. The areas I'm interested in are counselling, addiction and forensics. I realise the last two are a bit more specialised and so I recently decided it might be better to undertake a more general postgraduate course and I could specialise later on if the interest was still there. I have also started looking into clinical psychology and I'm wondering if doing a counselling postgraduate course might be a bit more limiting. Is there much scope for specialising here? Also could you gain entry into a clinical psychology course with a masters in counselling? I realise entry into clinical psychology is extremely competitive and requires a certain level of work experience so realistically I don't think I could apply for it at the moment. Anyway I hope this makes sense, if not please tell me and I will try to clarify. Thanks in advance,
    Lisa.

Hello Lisa8786, have you looked at this? Some interesting points to ponder there.
