So I'm planning on moving back to maynooth, and it seems like all the daft ads are ridiculously expensive.

Want to get a 1 bedroom appartment there, in 1 month from now.

    Young professional etc.

So should I call up estate agents or ring up daft adds and ask how daft they are being.

As it's a student time for maybe 9 months of the year, this happens. Best talk to the EA's, as I doubt you'll want a house where people will be partying till 2am on a weekday?
