    Hi,

Not sure if this is in the right forum. I would like to frame the front page of the Irish Times dated the day my baby was born. Is there any way to treat the newspaper to stop it from going yellow? Any tips or suggestions welcome.

    Thanks,

Not sure about how to treat it but definitely hang it away from sunlight. I know we don't get much of it here in this country but over time any amount of light will defnitely yellow the page. Sorry, that's all the help I have!

If it's the actual newspaper then you'll probably need to put it behind some kind of colour filter to stop it going yellow. Bear in mind that newspaper is pretty low grade paper which is not designed for the purpose than you intend to put it.

Have you considered buying the page from the IT themselves? They do that as a service and I'm sure what you get would have a much longer life though you'd obviously have to pay for it.

Take it to a framers, they will be able to reccommend the best way to frame and protect it. They can coat it before framing it which will ensure that it dosnt turn yellow over the years.

    Great idea by the way!
