I've sent money (alot) to dell using a bank transfer three weeks ago and its a nightmare dealing with them. The sales person I have to deal with is Indian and she doesn't answer any questions I have and only sent one email per day to me so its moving very slowly. I've heard nothing since my last email on friday afternoon when I asked her some more questions.

So I rang my bank and they confirmed everything I did was correct with regards to the bank account numbers etc. The bank is sending me out a statement and they want to see it.

Is it safe to send out bank statements? I'm going to block out anything that isn't their business so that means most things.

What should I do if they still won't recognise the statement? Its been 3 weeks since I sent it now and another few weeks to go before i recieve the laptop so it'll take well over a month to get anything. Thats ridiculous.

Op could you not have used your own CC if you had one? Or use someone elses and give them the cash would have made things a lot simpler

Nope I don't have one. I use cash all the time which I prefer.

This reminds me of exactly what happened me when I bought a Dell Studio in 2008. Once you block out the irrelevant info on your bank statemnt its ok. Also, the delivery time is a lot faster that what it schedules, So its a bit of a surprise.

I got my last laptop off dell about 6 years ago and had no problems dealing with Irish people on the phone. The Indian sales person kept getting things mixed up which lead me to believe she doesn't know what she should.

How long were you waiting before they asked you to see your bank statement?

What address did you send it to? I asked them yesterday by email and got this reply:
You can scan that to my email id .

    Madhuri Yandapally
    Sr. Chat Sales Representative
    Dell | EMEA Consumer Sales
    Office +0044 1344 378887 ext 3406136

So I don't even know what country to send it to after asking for the address!

I didnt post it to any address.

I just scanned it and emailed the salesperson I was dealing with initially.
    And that was fine.

I wouldnt post it, that could seriously delay your order.
