I acknowledge that I have been fully advised as to my legal entitlements and I am satisfied to accept the said sum of €XXXXX

'I am getting the sum of €xxxx for reasons which I fully understand and I cannot after I accept this sum change my mind and seek any alternative or increase to it.

Not only that but I have been legally advised as to what my alternatives are and I am still happy to accept the sum of €xxxx with no come-back in the event that I change my mind for any reason whatsoever.

In fact, even if I was badly legally advised by the person I chose to advise me, I still have no comeback against the person giving me the sum of €xxxx'

    Basically :-

    'tip black no swap back'

You never had that when you were younger ?

'I'll give you half me sandwich for your Roberto Mancini Italia '90 card'

    'OK'

'Tip black no swap back' [said as you touch something black]

Means 'tis irrevocable in law and equity and stuff.

Not that a 10 year old would think of it in those terms.

Sort of like shaking on it.

yikes i tried to look it up in an urban dictionary type site but it thinks it might be a similar phrase with a different (or mostly different) meaning...

Yes i am 100% serious, this is the 3rd time something has been changed.

It is from my solicitor and the first draft said i should give permission for deductions on my cheque bt it did not give any figures at all. im sorry but i am not signing away to educt money if i do not now how much it will be call me cynica if u want to but thats how it is.

So it was taken out as i have given them €1000 and they verbally said i would not have to pay anymore, but on the draft it said that they would deduct €1000 from my cheque, i asked them to put that in writing and they refused.

so they came up with the origanal post and i wanted to be sure i was not signing anything away before i signed the contract

Reloc8, does this mean that the sum of €xxxx is pretty much guaranteed and the OPs solicitors can't take any further fees from it? Or demand any further fees after the contract/draft has been signed?

Ok, but how does asking people to "define" the sentence you started with help you out here at all Cynica?
