Bank of Ireland Life SmartChoice Plan

I opened a SmartChoice plan in August 2006 and is now worth about €22k after paying in a total of €25k, but it's making up ground, and a recent review suggested it was heading back in the right direction.

I'm due a bonus on the 7th anniversary of opening the account (ie August 2013). Does anyone know what the bonus amounts to, and can anyone give me any thoughts on whether to keep the account live, continue to pay into it each month, allow it to make up its losses and collect the bonus, or move it elsewhere?

It's effectively my rainy-day fund. It was going to be a deposit for an apartment, but I'm happy enough saving this amount each month, but obviously don't want to be pouring money away if it could be doing something more constructive elsewhere.
