Anyone know are there any JLCs in operation in CIE? Presumably there are with the likes of electricians etc.

Secondly if JLCs are done away with in the private sector will they be done away with in the public sector, or is it likely to trigger the re-appearance of Brendan Ogle, strikes etc? Or will the public sector and/or CIE get special dispensation?

I don't think so, but there are parallel mechanisms, e.g. local bargaining.

I'm not certain, but I suspect that electricians, mechanics, etc. in CIÉ aren't subject to the JLCs.

I would doubt very much if any of the JLCs cover CIE.
Anything that JLCs cover like catering or cleaning have been contracted out.
The REA that covers electricians is for construction so would not apply to craft grades in CIE group companys.
Wages, terms and conditions in CIE group would probably covered by collective agreements.
