An adult novice i train who is 41 and not training long wanted to try a fight and the white collar route was the only way he could do it

So he was told he'd be matched similarly, age weight experience etc..

So shows up saturday to box without weigh in etc or anything and ends up been matched against a 19 year old who did not look like a novice and was fast and had really good technique unlike most on the show, basically he was set up

Thunderbolt Boxing was the show-Personally i wont be recommending them in future

Seen it happen more than a few times at these things, it's a joke. Guys shouldn't be fighting without being weighed in. Happens alot at club shows as well, when I was in my best shape I was bang on my weight and carrying good muscle at it yet I've got in before at a club show against a guy who was taller and more muscular, it's a joke.
Too many clubs are dishonest about the quality of their guys, intermediates passed as novices and novices passed as raw, I can't understand what their trainers think they're getting out of schooling guys they're levels above

I'v seen some nasty and unusual things in White collar as well as a spectator.
Someone 5'6" paired against someone 6'1", luckily smaller boxer a better boxer, but he had to use all his wits to survive if you know what I mean.
Seen an aggressive wrestling match that descended to arms under the legs lifting other guy off the ground, n ref let fight go on for full three rounds. One guy was trying to box and one guy was trying to be The Man. Ref gave him the win even though he disgraced himself in the ring. Charging at someone wrestling style!!
I would imagine too there are people floating around the white collars acting the newbie novice when they have plenty fights under their belt.
As someone said about a proper boxer, a boxer should be too strong for violence.
Final pet hate, people who turn up at a white collar baying for blood and not there to watch boxing, actively booing competitors and resorting to foul language and personal abuse. No place for it.

This kind of stuff is bull****.

These people are getting in the ring for a bit of fun. There is a responsibility on the organiser and the referee to ensure it remains a fun experience.
