    Hey, I have an Acoustic guitar here that I would really like to learn how to play. I did a few lessons about 6 years ago so I have the very basics ( I could play batman and james bond!)

    Anyway I'm looking for a few songs to practice for the next few months so If anyone here could show me a few I'd be very grateful

    what song do you like? Listen to it, print the tab off ultimate guitar and crack away,
    a mistake people make is going to lessons as beginers and learning love is all around, happy birthday, batman?? you lose interest very fast.

    Learning a few riffs at the start is cool, but you really need to get started on chords. It can be slow, learn the fingering for 3 or four main chords, get comfortable changing between them, and you'll be ready to start learning songs.

    Some chords to start with;
    E
    A
    D
    C
    G
    (all major chords)
    Em
    Am
    Dm

    With these you'll find a lot of songs you can play - then it's time to move on the the dreaded F and B chords... :D

    Hey I'm just learning guitar and find ultimate guitar.com super for chords/tabs etc.
    Some easy ones are Heart of Gold, Knocking on heavens door, Hey Joe, Solitary Man, One (U2) 3 or 4 chords and off you go!
    I would recommend a few lessons though just to make sure you are making a bit of progress.
