Just looking at the CI Calendar and apart from the Mullingar 2 day and the Mondello Series there appears to be a serious lack of racing especially at weekends. Is it just not up to date? Holiday season?

Eddie Tobin Memorial on the 3rd of July. Can't see anything else though.

Was thinking the same myself. The cycling season seems to be very front loaded in Ireland . Plenty of racing in March in the rain, wind and snow. Then July, post-champs, it feels like the season is in wind-down

iv given up on trying to find a4 only raceing a long time since and am now sticking with club leage races, well done to the clubs that did run A4 only Borhemian, mullingar and swords spring to mind, but after CI saying that all clubs should run A4 only i was expecting one at every open race, see you all in mullingar so,as for the team race above 100km stage when the normal distance for A4 is up to 80k its another A2/3 race,

I'm not sure where you are OP but the Specsavers GP in Dungarvan on Aug 14th and Dan O'Donovan Memorial in Fermoy on Aug 7th both have A4 only races (or they did last year anyway).

Just digging this up to see if there's any way to find out what A4 races are left in the calendar for this year?

I tried the Cycling Ireland website, not much luck though - couldn't really see anything, there's not a lot of info. Anywhere else to check? Cheers

Leaving aside 3 day events theres been a separate A4 race at every open race I've been to this year. Theres one at the Falling Leaves race in Gorey on Sunday.

The Cycling Ireland calendar goes to press in November each year so a lot of race organisers post an event to secure dates etc without having the full schedule of races organised. Theres generally a contact or website for the promoting club which give more up to date info. In general, from my experience, A4s are well catered for with separate races but don't turn up in large numbers after March/April. (So now is the time to pick up points!)
