Hi all. I'm having problems with my gibson explorer at the moment. Everything is fine when I have the pick up selector on neck pickup but when i toggle on the bridge pick up the signal is lost. I could have a high gain distorted sound but when i switch the toggle down i lose everything...all i get is a barely audible dry sound. Anyone any clues what might be the cause of the problem here? Thanks

Probably the switch connector to the bridge is broke. Try resoldering the connections on the switch.

That, or it could be that the connection from the volume pot of the bridge is dodgy. (Assuming Explorers have two volumes...?) Either way, same solution!
