Lift or Drop - and Pull?

    Lads,
I have a hunting application of shooting that is probably best suited for the target shooters out there. Your feedback is greatly appreciated.

When in the field, there is often a time that you do not have time to get your shooting sticks set up, take a knee, sit, or deploy a bipod. All you can really do is lift and shoot.

In your practice, what is more accurate: (a) lifting up to the target and shooting or (b) lifting up over the target, dropping the gun again and shooting on the drop?

I understand that ye probably do neither in competition. However, if you had to, which one would you do?

    Thanks

Drop down from above the target, with the elbow in tight to the body. Always.
