    It'd be nice to know a bit more about the animal than one small bone. Apparently though that was enough to identify it as a spinosaur. It's pretty cool as I did not expect them to show up there!

    The Discovery Channel's coverage of the find is quite frankly laughable.
    Giant Fish-Eating Dino Once Roamed Outback
    This massive dinosaur was among the biggest of all the predatory dinosaurs and made T. rex look puny.
    Then,
    Rich says the fossil belongs to the group of dinosaurs known as spinosaurs and came from a specimen two to three meters (6.6 to 9.8 feet) long
    Pathetic :rolleyes:

    They also managed to spell Spinosaurus and Giganotosaurus wrong. That site really has gone to the dogs. Does nobody proof read it anymore?
