Need to buy a good quality tie to match my debs dress! Want to get him a proper heavy tie and not just a flimsy one for everyday wear.. Hope that makes sense!

It needs to be reasonably priced as well..! Any ideas?

Just get one in Marks. They've a decent range and can be got sub 20. They've a collezione range that runs sub 27.

Spending any more than 20 is a waste imo for a one night event.

Yeah M&S are good, if you need to match a particular shade they have a huge range. Although consider getting the right shade with a pattern, you could get really lucky in TK Maxx.

And ties are just ties..? Like they don't have different sizes?

There are generally two types of ties in most stores - skinny and medium width.

I personally dislike skinny ties as a full windsor knot doesn't suit them.
It's a good rule of thumb to have the tie width match the lapel width.

Some places like Debenhams have longer length ties for people who are quite tall but generally they don't vary much in length.

Also go with a silk, rather than a polyester tie. You can check from the care label on the bottom of them.

Finally, make sure he ties a decent knot and that it isn't tied too long or too short!
