Does anyone on here have experience of bringing surfboards on buses? Do they let you with bus eireann? Is it safe? My board is big (7.9). Thanks in advance.

    get a bag!

i've brought them on bus eireann before, never any problems.

make sure you're one of the first to load on cos if the hold is full you'll have trouble.

Id imagine you d need the 10mm + thick "travelbag", not the less expensive day bag to be sure you wont get scuppered, that or line your day bag with carpet or something to prevent small pointy objects doing damage on the bus, unless its a bic or some bullit proof board.
