Ok I gather my thread title may be alittle misleading, but I'm looking to gain a little information. I'm interested in setting up a small business, a franchise and I'm wondering where to start. I'll try to explain myself and people can PM for further information as I don't want to give away to much yet.

I have worked for a company who are franchising their brand around the Country with in the confines of another well known store here in the Ireland and I am interested in setting up down in Galway. My reason for my choice of Galway, it's a city with multiple educational Institutions and my location of choice enjoys a particularly high foot fall. I will by contacting both soon enough when I have a few things in order, but is there anything else I may want or need in order first, i.e. Business Plan etc.
